About

Incorporated in April 2005, 12tribe records is an independent contemporary Christian music label based in Northern Ireland...

The brainchild of creator David Paul, the label was initially formed around a conglomerate of musical friendships and interests. Built upon the founding sounds of Beyond and the Anselm, 12tribe records' debuts confidently emerged in 2006, a year after its inception, promising a unique, alternative medium in Christian music production.

It wasn't long before industry plaudits affirmed the label's integrity in its musical direction and cited great anticipation for the future of the fledgling label. Awards followed, not only for the musical aplomb of its artists but also in rewarding 12tribe records' acumen in business initative and excellence.

In 2007 12tribe records began to diversify its functions into event management, successfully launching its own Christian music platform within its Arisen Nation programme.

2008 then saw the label develop further with new artist affiliation through publishing and distribution agreement, with NlighteN being a forerunner in this new music coalition. This operational mutation, if successful, is likely to underpin the strategic direction of the label in the long-term.

Domestic promotion was top priority in 2009/2010, a period that brought 2 new releases through the 12tribe records label and a series of event commitments for the label and live appearances for our bands. Alongside this new music and performance came increased public awareness, of our bands and our aims, and a new wave of fans keen to support the 12tribe records musical revolution.  Our earnest and concerted endeavour during this time was to consolidate opening successes. An improved emphasis on creating and accomplishing organisational goals now exists, especially in terms of solidifying marketing aims in more effectively reaching target audiences.

So what now? 2011 brings a further 2 brand new debut album releases and a synergy around the label's musical and organisational activities that has never existed to this degree before. The label has this year revamped its already award-winning website to better serve our fan community, a community we're serious about serving and connecting with. 2011 will also see the launch of the label's brand new store and exclusive membership scheme, as the label seeks to again shake up industry norms and to forge its own path in regard to its kingdom endeavours. 2011 also brings a new focus on corporate giving for the label and recent work has begun in regard to aligning our music activities to charities that we would wish to support in the future through the distribution and sale of our music.
